Sacraments

Baptism
Our baptisms are celebrated in the midst of our Parish Community during the Sunday worship. Parents can pick up a Baptism Registration Package after Mass and submit the registration form. Our Baptism Team will be in contact and arrange an interview to sort out the Baptism Preparation.

Confirmation
Confirmation is the second stage of the initiation process. Our registered candidates participate in Confirmation Groups that serve to prepare them to make this important step. Confirmations are celebrated during our Sunday worship around the time of Pentecost. The Candidates are confirmed in their small groups which are generally a mix of students from the various schools in our Parish.

First Eucharist
After completing our Eucharistic program, our young people come to the Table of the Lord in small groups in the midst of our Sunday worship.

Reconciliation
The sacrament of reconciliation can be celebrated most Saturday
afternoons at the Church from 3:00 pm - 3:30 pm. Please check the
bulletin for exceptions when the Sacrament is not available. Please note that Reconciliation will not be celebrated during the Sacred Triduum.
(Lent ends with the beginning of the Mass of the Lord's Supper on Holy Thursday, and the Church enters into a Paschal Fast for the Triduum, the Sacred Three Days.)

Marriage
We require a year's notice for Marriages to take place. We permit only one wedding per Day. The wedding liturgy is first and foremost an act of the Church and so it is governed by good liturgical principles. These principles include specific criteria for music, and guidelines on how the actual ceremony unfolds. Please click on Marriage Brochure to access and familiarize yourself with the marriage guidelines.

Anointing of the Sick
We celebrate the sacrament of anointing each month, September through until June at our monthly Seniors Mass and luncheon. These are generally held on the third Wednesday of each month starting at 11:30 am in the Church. We also celebrate it monthly at the Mass at Winbourne Park Long-term Care Facility on the last Monday of each month.
